Home Theater Setup
Here are a few good tips for your home theater setup.
1. You should be able to sit back at least 3 times the distance of the length of the screen. So for a 60 inch TV you should be 15 Ft back. You can be only 2 times away if you have HDTV but because not all chanells have this yet you should play it safe.
2. When selecting a home theater setup it is good to do your home work. There are many different choices out there. You first need to find what your budget is. Once you have this you can then look at TV’s. Keep in mind if you will still need a nice suround system, receiver, DVD player and of course the cables. knowing your budget will let you know if you can afford a flat panel or a box. To get full HDTV resolution on a plasma panel means getting a 50-inch diagonal screen, that can run you $8K right there. If you are willing to abandon
the flat panel and accept a more conventional box (one that’s no more
than 14 inches deep), you can get full HDTV resolution for a fraction
of that amount. A 50-inch diagonal DLP rear-projection set that’s only
14 inches deep and weighs about 75 pounds would be $3,200.
